Accountant / Accounts Executive

The Role

Join us as an Accounts Executive in Alpha X Technology, where you'll play a pivotal role in managing regional financial operations including GL maintenance, group consolidation and compliance.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Financial Operations & Reporting

  • Process accounts payable (invoice processing, vendor payments) and manage expense accruals.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger (GL) entries and ensure timely monthly closing.
  • Prepare monthly group consolidation under SFRS standards.
  • Monitor intercompany transactions, perform intercompany reconciliation, and ensure proper elimination entries.

Compliance & Audit

  • Liaise with external auditors across multiple countries and support audit cycles.
  • Prepare and file quarterly GST returns for holding company and SST submissions for Malaysia entity.

Process Improvement

  • Identify and implement efficiencies in financial reporting and internal controls.
  • Participate in finance projects and handle ad-hoc tasks as needed.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in software/B2B services or a multi-country environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy / finance or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is an added advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting systems, i.e. Xero, SQL.
  • Detailed oriented, strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to learn and grow in a fast-paced start up setting.
  • Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
